    Paratha is one of the most popular Sri Lankan street foods. There are different types of paratha that all of you can have. People love to eat paratha with any kind of spicy gravy or chicken curry. Sri Lankans are accustomed to having this meal for breakfast or dinner.

    Add flour, salt, 1 tsp of oil into the bowl & mix it well.

    Add water little by little & stir.

    Knead the dough until soft. (Transfer the dough to a smooth floured surface knead until it's soft & elastic for 5 minutes by hand. Keep the dough in a warm place for 20 minutes)

    Roll the dough & cut into 4 equal sizes.

    Take one by one piece & make it as a ball.

    Apply 1 tsp of oil on the prepared dough balls & keep the balls inside the bowl. (place the bowl in a warm place for 15 minutes)

    How I made egg roti

    Flatten a dough ball on the smooth surface using your palm & fingertips. (make nice circle shape roti)

    Fold 4 sides halfway in the roti & keep the dough inside the bowl. (fold like square shapes & look at the following pictures)

    Again, flatten dough on the smooth surface using your palm & fingertips. (make nice square shape roti)

    Add 1 tsp of oil to the pan & place a prepared roti on the pan.

    Cook both sides of the roti until brown colour. (do the same way to other dough balls also)
