1 390g of Sweetened condensed milk

250g Brown sugar

125ml Water

1 tsp Cardamoms (powder)

2 tsp(optional) Sesame seeds

50g(optional) Roasted cashew nuts

2 tsp Unsalted butter
-
1/4 tsp Salt
-
1 tsp Vanilla extract
Directions
Milk toffee is one of the most popular sweetmeat in Sri Lanka. It’s a common sweetmeat in Sri Lankan culture. Milk toffee is flavored with lots of cashew nuts & sesame seeds. It’s crunchy, caramelized & super sweet.

Grease baking pan with 1 tsp of butter & keep aside. |

Add condensed milk into the pot. Add 125ml of water into the condensed milk can & stir. (because there have some remaining milk) |

Pour that water into the pot & add sugar & salt. (keep the pot under medium heat.) |

Stir the mixture continuously until light golden. (you can see bubbles in the mixture) |

Add 1tsp of butter, vanilla extract & cardamom powder. (please don’t stop stir while adding these things. After a few minutes you can see the hole of this mixture.) |

Add sesame seeds & roasted cashew nuts & off the heat. |

Spread the milk toffee mixture into the baking pan & let it cool. |

Next, cut into small squares & store it in a clean, dry jar. |
