Egg roti is Sri Lankan popular street food. We can buy it from any pastry shop and restaurants. Sri Lankan people are accustomed to having this as a snack, breakfast, or dinner. Most of the children also like to have egg roti because It is not too spicy. I would like to share with you the experience I have got from making this. Here are some directions I made my own way. Because I thought it will be easy for you to make this.

How I made doughAdd flour, salt, 1 tsp of oil & water into the bowl & mix it well. |

Knead the dough until soft. (Transfer the dough to a smooth floured surface knead until it's soft & elastic for 10 minutes by hand. Keep the dough in a warm place for 30 minutes) |

Roll the dough & cut into 5 equal sizes. |

Take one by one piece & make it as a ball. |

Apply 1 tsp of oil on the prepared dough balls & keep the balls inside the bowl. (place the bowl in a warm place for 20 minutes) |

How I made egg mixtureBreak the eggs into the deep bowl & whisk. |

Add onion, green chili, black pepper, chili flakes, salt & mix well. |

Add 1 tsp of oil to the pan & place a prepared roti on the pan. |

Cook both sides of the roti until brown colour. (do the same way to other dough balls also) |
